After finishing her masters degree she decided to settle in Boca Raton, FL but kept strong roots in Puerto Rico having most of her family still living there. Having been born and raised in Puerto Rico she felt a strong calling and she knew she had to do something to help the island get back on its feet. What started as a small thought turned into a strong movement. Together with a great team their vision is powerful and their commitment is steady.

Simona was born in Sicily and was the first woman to graduate from college in her family. Her parents brought her to the United States in hopes of a better education. Things clearly worked out as Simona is now a Partner at Deloitte Consulting. She takes tremendous pride in her Life Sciences technology strategy and Inclusion leadership at Deloitte. However, her biggest accomplishment is raising two beautiful, intelligent and strong daughters.
Having island roots herself, Simona felt a tremendous need to help Tanya and the soulful people of Puerto Rico. One of her most favorite vacation spots in all the world, is Vieques in Puerto Rico. The devastation there completely broke her heart, so when her best friend called she did not hesitate to offer support in whatever Tanya needed.
